Knittin' A Bit

Isn't it more fun to go shopping for supplies? Don't feel bad because you didn't finish that row of purl stitches, just move on, and find another project to leave half-finished, such as decoupage. Craft slackers of the world unite!

The rain has made the dying flowers look sad

Margarita Friday has finally arrived. Unfortunately, there will be no margaritas for me this weekend, but that is another story with which I shall not bore my dear nonexistant readers. How do bloggers keep up this process? I find my life to be so boring and have no idea why anyone would want to read my musings or thoughts or what I do during the day. I mean how lame would it be to have a life so boring that you think that what I think is interesting and fascinating (don't mean to offend). If anyone out there is blog world is actually reading this crappy new blog, please comment to me on why you blog or why you read other people's blog. The whole process seems completely narcissistic to me.

P.S. I purled a row. That's right 1 (one) row last night. And that was the first row in a few days. This scarf had better be awesome when I am done with it. Maybe I'll try to the knit the shit out of this weekend.

Knit none, Purl some

So last night, in an attempt to remember how to do purl stitches, I did a few rows. After a while, I got bored and put down the needles. That made my cat happy. Betsy, that's my cat, doesn't like when I am not giving her my full attention. At least she doesn't attack the yarn. That would suck. Yarn is not cheap, or at least the yarn I like is not cheap.

Are We Having Fun Yet?

Ok, so now that I have figured out how to update my profile and such, we can start having some fun. As I stated in the description of this blog, our purpose is to encourage craft slackers to not feel bad about leaving their projects by the wayside. Sometimes crafts are boring. Sometimes a tv show is much more entertaining.

My particular craft of choice at the moment is knitting. Sometimes you just don't want to finish that scarf, do you? Maybe you no longer like the color. Maybe you forgot how to purl. Maybe it was just more fun to go shopping for the yarn than to actually make anything. Don't let craft people intimidate you. Some of us just aren't that into it.

So lets put down our bamboo needles and unite in our craft-y slackerdom. I think it is time for a glass of wine to celebrate this new freedom.

P.S. Just a warning, to anyone who bothers to read this blog, I may get bored with this project as well and move on.

Test, Take 2

Again, no one needs to read this post since I am still playing around w/ the software.

Test

This website is making me create a post in order to see if what my site looks like. grrrrrr
